I've Got The Inside Scoop! Culver's Is Unveiling 6 New Flavor's of The Day! - Happily Ever Natural (2024)
Fun fact about me, Culver’s is one of my favorite restaurants. My family and I love eating there almost weekly! If you remember my family and I had a blast last year during National Cheese Curd Day.
Now I am a big Ice cream fan too. But, I love Culver’s Fresh Frozen Custard. In fact, my family enjoys summer nights at Culver’s for their Fresh Frozen Custard.Culver’s is unlike any restaurant because of its Flavor of The Day program. The Flavor of The Day Tradition has been around since Culver’s opened their first restaurant in Sauk City, Wisconsin, in 1984! Every day, each of Culver’s more than 650 restaurants features Vanilla and Chocolate Fresh Frozen Custard, plus one rotating Flavor of the Day. The Flavor of the Day program is possible because every Culver’s uses frozen custard that is made fresh in therestaurant in small batches all day, every day.
I’m super excited because this is the first time since 2012 that Culver’s has added to its Flavor of the Day program! I was so honored to be able to try the 6 brand NEW Flavors of Fresh Frozen Custard that Culver’s will be unveiling this year withQuinn Adkins, Director of menu development at Culver’s and the Culver’s Team. I got to first-hand taste the six new frozen custard flavors of the day. One new flavor per month will be rolled at Culver’s locations beginning May 10th!
Fun facts about Fresh Frozen Custard. Culver’s Fresh Frozen Custard is made with farm fresh milk and pasteurized eggs, making it much creamier than ice cream. Frozen Custard is served at 15 degrees warmer than Ice Cream. Frozen Custard also uses more cream and contain less air, giving it a creamier and richer taste. Yumm-O! I love the fact that since Custard is served at a temperature that won’t freeze your taste buds, so you can enjoy the flavor longer!
Warning! Your mouth is about to start watering! Don’t be jealous but I got to taste the new flavors before they are released! (Insert raising hands emjoi) LOL! The six new flavors are as follows:
Cappuccino Cookie Crumble – Released May 10
Blackberry Cobbler- Released June 10

In October 2017, Culver's sold a minority share to Roark Capital Group, a private equity firm based in Atlanta. The Culver family retains majority ownership. On March 29, 2021, Enrique 'Rick' Silva became the fourth CEO of Culver's. In July 2024, Culver's celebrated 40 years.
Brands vary, but vanilla ice-cream typically has about 10 per cent more calories than custard, as well as twice the saturated fat, less protein and half the calcium and potassium. However, ice-cream usually has less sugar and salt, too.
It's no secret that ice cream is loaded with sugar. Many varieties contain 12–24 grams of added sugar in just a 1/2-cup (65-gram) serving ( 1 ). It's recommended that you limit added sugars to under 10% of your daily calories, or about 50 grams of sugar for a 2,000-calorie diet ( 7 ).
Waukesha County prosecutors have charged two Muskego Culver's employees with extortion after they allegedly threatened to expose a co-worker's affair unless he paid them thousands of dollars. Cameron Rueda, 29, of Waukesha is charged with extorting $1,100 from the victim inside the restaurant in late 2022.
Our frozen custard is special because it's made fresh: slow-churned, right in the restaurant, in small batches. We prepare Fresh Frozen Custard multiple times a day, so your custard is always scooped from a fresh batch – no matter what time you stop by. And it's different from other frozen desserts.
As Craig Culver always says, "We never compromise on quality." It's a promise that begins with sourcing the best ingredients and continues through to the way we prepare your meal: fresh, just for you. It's why we always use fresh, never frozen beef and whole, white meat chicken from America's family farms.
We'll start things off by letting you in on a little secret – a secret ingredient, that is. Frozen custard is made using pasteurized egg yolks, which was a special ingredient initially added by ice cream vendors on Coney Island back in 1919.
Andy's has updated frozen custard machines throughout the years, but the basic ingredient list for custard remains short and sweet: cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and a few other trade secrets. Creamier than regular ice cream, frozen custard contains more butterfat, and is churned slowly.
Ice cream is made with milk, cream, and sweetener.Frozen custard contains the same ingredients, plus egg yolks. This extra ingredient means frozen custard usually has a richer, thicker, and creamier texture than ice cream.
A “kids” or “mini”-size scoop of ice cream usually hovers around 200 calories. Not all chains list one on the menu, so you may have to ask. A “small” or “single” or “standard”-size scoop of ice cream typically has around 300 to 400 calories.
